I absolutely adore restaurants that put a modern twist to classic favorites. It’s a make it or break it type of recipe, if the original is better then no one will probably order it again BUT when it’s divine – then it’s a masterpiece. One example of that is the Puto Bumbong Pancakes created by Early Bird Breakfast Club. Yes, you heard it right – Puto bumbong, every Filipino’s favorite snack during simbang gabi. This will be my second time reviewing this restaurant, if you haven’t read my first post then you click here.
It tastes exactly like how we know this traditional Filipino Snack but it differs in (of course) appearance and texture. It’s more firm and fluffier, not as sticky as well. This incredible creation is topped with toasted coconut paired with some whip cream (I think). Needless to say, I enjoyed every bite – perfect dessert after a hefty meal. And yes, this is a masterpiece in all angles, worth trying out foodies!
Bacon and Egg Nest (above) – from the name itself it’s a whole egg inside cup shaped bacon paired with Salad. I admire the effort the chefs put into every dish they serve, the presentation is just absolutely beautiful. The egg inside was quite soft and the Bacon was as cripsy as ever. This dish is for those who want the best of both worlds, Bacon x Salad. Healthy with a hint of sin.
Grilled Cheese and Roasted Tomato Soup – perfect dish if you’re looking for a quick cheese fix that’s not quite hefty. Dip the grilled cheese in the Tomato Soup, just do it. Perfect combination, I’ll definitely order this again next time.
