It’s exactly one month before Valentine’s Day! If you haven’t made any reservations yet, don’t worry, you have loads of time. Highlands Prime Steakhouse is perfect for that quiet evening to spend time with your S.O.
The whole set-up is quite spacious, enough room for customers and waiters to move around. The best part for me is the LIVE pianist that plays beautiful melodies all throughout the night. Their staff/waiters were very courteous and friendly, they all standby in plain sight spread throughout the restaurant for easy service. My only concern was that the room’s AC was too strong that our food got cold really fast. But the waiters were very nice to heat up our food (around 3x I believe).
Now let’s talk about food, of course this ambiance doesn’t come out cheap – or so I thought. I expected most of their dishes to be at least P700-P1000. But to my surprise their appetizers, salads, pizzas and sandwiches are within a P350-500 price range. While main course meals range from P500 to P1450. Their expensive menu of course are the steaks which ranges from P1560 – 2200 per order.
BBQ Baby Back Ribs Half: P500
Highlands Steakhouse is now one of my favorite restaurants because of their delicious BBQ Baby Back Ribs. I honestly cannot believe this whole serving is only P500! Other restaurants would serve just half of this for at least P700. It’s taste and texture is quite similar to that of Hawaiian Barbecues’ Ribs (if you haven’t tried this then you haven’t lived at all). It’s very soft, melts off the bones type of perfection.
Mixed Seafood Pizza: P350
Seafood Pizza – I’ve tried quite a few myself and this has the most generous toppings. Taste-wise it was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Well the pizza kept on getting cold cause of the room temperature so I wasn’t able to enjoy it as much as the ribs.
Roast Beef Pasta: P400
The best part is that you can tell that their pasta noodles were made from scratch. It doesn’t taste like your usual spaghetti noodles that you cook at home. Plus their Roast Beef strips were quite tender and tasty.
Dinner date with one of my best friends, Ida! I miss you girly 🙂
