After a good morning run around Bonifacio Global City hunger strikes like crazy. Instead of driving through a fast-food joint, we walked to Mercato! I expected the place to be jam packed like its midnight version but then little people were there – less stalls too. I also thought there would be some organic fresh market, but nope, none there.
For lunch we ordered some Sriracha Chicken on Ciabatta Bread with Alfalfa Sprouts from Rooster Wings and Strawberry-Yakult smoothie. The sandwich is red hot spicy but the Alfalfa sprouts definitely balances the taste perfectly. The sauce is similar to that of buffalo chicken just a lil’ bit more on the spicy side. While the strawberry-yakult smoothie is just heavenly! It helps ease out the spiciness the sandwich gives. My sister got the same sandwich but ordered some Banana Smoothie, the drink is pretty tasty, has the right blend of sweetness.
For dessert I got a Blueberry Muffin for only P45! I’m a bit disappointed with this one though, only the top coating is delicious while the rest is too plain and unflavored. I doubt they used real blueberries since there’s a ‘small‘ center with some blue syrup in it – I guess that’s why it’s a Blueberry Muffin. I expected it to be pretty damn good since they’re other products are absolutely delicious! To all La Sallian’s out there I’m sure you remember that mouth-watering chocolate-caramel and Red Velvet cupcakes they sell in every food fair held in school (same owners)!
